Hijjah 02, 1431 / Nov. 08, 2010, SPA -- The Speaker of Albanian Parliament Josephina Topalli hailed here today the stances of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Custodian of the Tow Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in serving Islamic, as well as international causes, in order that peace and stability may prevail all over the world. The Albanian Speaker made the comments, following a meeting with the Saudi Majlis Al-Shura delegation led by its Speaker Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al Asheikh, currently visiting Albania. During the meeting, she briefed the Saudi side on economic situation in Albania and investment opportunities in order to promote economic partnership between the two countries. New acts and regulations were recently adopted in Albania, she cited some, notably to encourage and protect foreign investments. On his part, the Saudi Speaker thanked, in his name and on behalf of the delegation, his Albanian counterpart for the hospitality. He stressed the importance of such visits in consolidating bilateral relations, during a joint press conference they held. Meanwhile, The Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura Dr. Al-Asheikh met Albanian Foreign Minister Edmund Hajina Stwo, during the meeting, they discussed best means to promote bilateral relations in all fields, especially in parliamentary aspects. The Minister expressed appreciation for Saudi stance beside Republic of Kosovo in its endeavor to achieve national independence, noting the economic and political clout of the Kingdom, regionally as well as internationally, and its role in serving world peace and security. The meeting was attended by the accompanying delegates and Saudi Ambassador to Albania Abdullah Al-AbdulKarim.
