Jordan today signed a letter of intent with US aircraft manufacturer Boeing to buy an undisclosed number of AH-6i light attack and reconnaissance helicopters, the commander of the Royal Jordanian Air Force, Major General Malik Habashneh, announced, according to dpa. The number would be decided when the two sides sign the final deal, Habashneh told reporters on the sidelines of the SOFEX 2010 exhibition, which displays the world's latest defence and anti- terrorism technology. The event, which was inaugurated on Tuesday by King Abdullah II, is attended by 350 firms from 82 countries.
