Prince Khalid bin Sultan Visits Jazan Force
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 08 - 05 - 2010

Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs paid here on Friday evening an inspection visit to the headquarters of Jazan Force.
Upon arrival at the venue, the Prince was received by commanders and senior officers.
Addressing servicemen of Jazan Force Command, Prince Khalid bin Sultan conveyed to them the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who is also the Supreme Commander of All Military Forces and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, noting that the King and the Crown Prince expressed their admiration and appreciation of military forces for their honorable heroism.
He indicated that Jazan's border has a long land border of about 4430 kilometers, praising the servicemen for their loyalty and sacrificing themselves for the sake of the King and the homeland.
He said, "If we recall the past, we consider Al-Khafji battle, which took place on Saudi soil, as the largest battle in building areas, during which Saudi security forces had performed very well. The battle has been and will be a bright spot in the record of Saudi military history. In a very near past, the battle to liberate our southern border from a clique of aggressive infiltrators occurred. The battle took place in complicated mountainous areas on the Saudi soil. Undoubtedly, it has been the second real test for the combating efficiency of Saudi Armed Forces. The battle proved that Saudi soldiers had demonstrated to the world their ability to assimilate the latest and most complicated military technology. Our brave soldiers have set the best examples of bravery, loyalty, and sacrifices."
Prince Khalid bin Sultan added, "Our country has a prestigious international position which calls for vigilance in a world of hatred and strife. There is no way to preserve positions except for preparing for the worst circumstances. The force is the shield which protects the right and dignity, and achieves security and safety. You, the heroes, are the best way to achieve those goals and you have achieved them. We should be ready, take up arms and rely on our self-force to protect our country from potential dangers".
Prince Khalid bin Sultan said that an approval has been issued to establish a specialized department for following up the affairs of families and close relatives of martyrs so that our armed forces continue their noble missions to defend the homeland.
