The Sudanese voting process in the elections started at 08:00 am Sunday in all states of the country, the National Sudanese news agency "SUNA" reported. The Chairman of the National Congress party and candidate of the party in the presidential elections President Omer Al-Bashir will cast his ballot at the election centre at a local School in Khartoum Sunday. The Chairman of the National Elections Commission Abel Alier and Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha will cast ballot at the voting centre near his home in "Riyadh-quarter" in Khartoum on Sunday. The elections, which will run through Tuesday, are an essential part of a 2005 peace deal. Some 16 million people will vote for over 14,000 candidates for everything from president to local councils.
