Fifth, after reviewing a report by the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality regarding the Saudi Building Code, the Cabinet approved a number of measures including: First: The reinstitution of the National Committee for the Saudi Building Code, formed by the Council of Ministers Decision No. (174) and dated 15/6/1422 H. The Committee shall be based at and linked to the Minister the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs. Second: Amendment of the Council of Ministers Resolution number (11) and dated on 10/1/1428 to read as follows: "The central unit of the Saudi Building Code at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs shall follow up the implementation of decisions concerning the Saudi Building Code which are issued by the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs based on what is proposed by the National Committee of the Saudi Building Code." --More
