In cooperation with the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), a body affiliated to ISESCO, will hold an experts' meeting on the Activation of the Islamic Body for Quality and Accreditation in Higher Education and the establishment of its working mechanisms, in Kuala Lumpur, from April 8 to 10, 2010. The purpose of the meeting is to activate the Islamic Body for Quality and Accreditation, which was approved by the FUIW's fourth conference held in Kuwait in 2007. The meeting also aims to discuss the Body's organizational chart; present a strategic vision and a general executive plan of the Body's activities and the ways to manage them; propose a general perception of the model of quality and accreditation to be adopted by the Body to disseminate quality and groom universities for obtaining the required internal and external accreditation; consider the issues pertaining to staff recruitment and human resources who will manage the Body and its various activities; and discuss the obstacles likely to be encountered during implementation and the possible solutions thereto.
