Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received today Hans Joachim Dier, the Special Envoy to German Chancellor. Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE, under the leadership of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, boasts of its close relations with Germany, which are based on established foundations of intimacy, friendship and mutual respect and interests. He added that UAE was satisfied with the pace of progress in these bonds in various domains. The UAE and Germany, Sheikh Mohammed affirmed, have a common determination to open up new avenues of joint cooperation especially in technology. Sheikh Mohammed and his German guest explored best ways of bolstering bilateral relations and reviewed topics of mutual interest at regional and international levels, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM".
