Kuwait International Airport said it received early Friday a bomb threat at the airport's commercial complex, which proved to be a hoax. The threat was found to be a hoax, head of the airport's operations department Esam Al-Zamil told KUNA. He said that as soon as the alert was received via phone call at 2:00 a.m., required procedures were taken in coordination with concerned authorities. Security authorities searched the area and did not find anything, he added. He noted that flights were not affected by the bomb threat, adding that investigations were underway.
