Yaum and Al Madinah newspapers lauded the Quintet Committee, which began interrogating and detaining a number of senior officials working in Jeddah Municipality and its affiliated municipalities and also Makkah Water Directorate; who are suspected to be behind the Jeddah Flash-flood disaster that had claimed tens of lives and incurred billions of riyals in losses. The papers referred to a high number of arrests (in this context) amounting to more than 60 employees and contractors until Monday, including the staff and former and current realtors and businessmen linked to the implemented projects and others. "This confirms that the Fact-Finding Committee is moving forward in implementing the important task entrusted to it by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to summon any public official regardless of his position for questioning and investigation," the papers noted. --MORE
