Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation gives a special care to the citizens as they are the core of development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this context, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General said that "The youths of the country are the backbone of development. We are very keen on educating them and build their skills so that they can develop the country and achieve its development goals". Fifteen years ago, the Foundation inaugurated a Research Grant Program in cooperation with the Arabian Gulf University in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Until the end of last year, the number of beneficiaries of this agreement reached 630 students in the fields of special education as well as care and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. Moreover, the Foundation provided financial support to a number of scientific and research facilities, including a grant to King Saud University amounted to SR 30 million allocated to attract talented researchers in the fields of science and application. The Foundation participated in the establishment of a scientific partnership between King Saud University and the Missouri University of Science and Technology. The Foundation also provided a grant of SR 10 million in support of the establishment of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd University in the Eastern Region, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As regards the support for research centers, the Foundation provided a grant of SR 15 million in support of Prince Salman Center for Disability Research, in addition to providing the Center with annual support amounted to SR 1 million.
