Russia"s foreign minister says Moscow has accepted a deal reached earlier this week in Vienna to enrich uranium for Iran, AP reported. Sergey Lavrov said Friday that Russia expects Iran and the other countries involved to «confirm their acceptance of that project.» The agreement calls for shipping most of Iran"s uranium to Russia for enrichment to a level that renders it suitable as nuclear fuel for energy production _ not for nuclear weapons. The plan is seen by the international community as a way to curb Iran"s ability to build a nuclear weapon. Iran says its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only. Tehran is supposed to decide by Friday on whether to approve the plan. -- SPA
