Security forces apprehend 44 authors and members of the deviant group

A security spokesman of the Ministry of Interior announced that the security authorities have, thanks to Allah Almighty, controlled a network of authors and members of the deviant group and their supporters, despite their strict ways of disguising and reaching their goals of spreading the deviant thought and calling for it through luring the youths and exploiting the philanthropic work to finance their deviant activities.
Accordingly, over the period from 17 Rajab 1429 H. through 11 Shaaban 1430 H., the security authorities were able to arrest 44 elements of that network, one expatriate and the rest are Saudis, some of them were highly-qualified and of advanced experience. In addition, some of them have been trained inside and outside the country on light and heavy arms shooting, ways of drawing explosive maps and counterfeiting of documents to be used by the elements of the deviant group while moving, the source said.
He added that the apprehension and inspection operations have led to the confiscation of weapons and ammunition in addition to ready electronic circuits which they have developed to be used in remote-controlled explosions in different sites according to the following:
First: 17 Kalashnikovs and 22 live ammunition boxes also including 16500 bullets, 26 machine gun stores in addition to 280 remote-controlled electronic explosive circuits, found buried in a valley near to the city of Riyadh.
Second: 96 remote-controlled electronic explosive circuits found under the ground at a site in a Qassim Region province.
Third: Fifty machine guns and 20 ammunition boxes including 15000 bullets and 39 machine guns depots hided in a special room at the courtyard of a house in Riyadh owned by a member of the deviant group.
The source added that investigations are still underway to reveal more links with the leaders of the group outside and ways of using charity work to finance their criminal activities.
