Oman, represented by the Information Ministry, Heritage and Culture Ministry is currently taking part at the 25th International Book Fair in Damascus through two pavilions that include the major Omani books and publications. ‘The Omani cultural and creative production reflects the general creative development in the Sultanate,' said Dr. Najah al Attar, Syrian Vice President who opened the Fair in a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA). On his part, Dr. Hussain Juma, Chairman of the Syrian Writers Union appreciated the cultural and literary production of the Sultanate. He pointed out to the comprehensive encyclopedia that will be soon published by the Sultanate; a major step that serves human knowledge. More than 426 publishing houses from 13 Arab and 7 foreign countries are taking part in the Fair which will display 40,000 titles in the different scientific , political and cultural fields.
