Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received here today Eng. Ali Ibrahim Al Naimi, The Saudi Minster of Petroleum and Mineral Resources at the former's office in the Vietnamese capital. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Vietnam, especially in oil and mining affairs. In a statement to The Saudi Press Agency after the meeting, Eng. Al Naimi said his visit came in line with directives of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier to enhance Saudi-Asian relations. "Vietnam is one of the important Asian countries experiencing sustained economic growth. Its economic role in Asia is surging as it is one of the oil producing and exporting countries. Moreover, Vietnam's local consumption is growing as a result of the growth and expansion of its economy," Al Naimi said, pointing out that Saudi Arabia is seeking to strengthen relations with the Republic of Vietnam in all aspects, including the oil and mining. Meanwhile, Al Naimi also met today with the Chief of Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation "Petrolimex-Vietnam".
