The Excellence Center of Science and Mathematics Education (ECSME), an affiliate of King Saud University (KSU) will hold tomorrow at the University's main Auditorium, a scientific workshop on "The Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS)". It will be split into two sessions: The First will address the Saudi results at TIMSS 2007 and the second will tackle the mechanisms to benefit from previous results and improve the Saudi performance of next participation. Dr. Fahad Bin Sulaiman Al Shaya, the Director of the ECSME said that the Workshop is being convened to benefit from the outcome of the previous results of 2007 and 2003 reflecting low level compared with global averages. Dr. Shaya hoped the Workshop would facilitate securing fruitful results and contributing to the improvement of science and mathematics education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
