Visiting Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Amin Madani today paid get-acquainted visits to some Tunis-based Arab cultural and media organizations. Madani has visited the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) and met with its President Dr. Salah Aldine Maawi where they reviewed the relations between ASBU and the Saudi radio and television stations. Then, Madani was briefed on ASBU's activities and programs. In a speech addressed to ASBU's employees, Minister of Culture and Information lauded the successes achieved by the organization at the joint Arab action level, wishing it further achievements. For his part, Dr. Maawi expressed his thanks to the Saudi Minister of Culture and Information for paying a visit to the facility, commending the support of the Kingdom to ASBU and the joint Arab action in general. He also spoke about the success of the last session of ASBU's General Assembly recently held in Saudi Arabia which spared no effort to provide it with all potentials, contributing to the achievement of positive results and serving the Arab media action. --More
