King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah is going to establish the first specializing center in the restoration and lengthening bones to be the latest treatment centers in the Arab World. Director of KAU, Osama bin Dr. Sadik Tayeb said in statement to the press that the center will be established to improve the scientific and treatment services. He pointed to the fruitful cooperation between the faculty of Medicine and the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and the Center for nanotechnology in the field of stem cells renewal. King Abdulaziz University has as its highest priority and attention to scientific research to benefit the community as well as invite the most prestigious scientists who are renowned for their global expertise and deep outstanding scientific contributions in the field of orthopedic surgery to participate in specialized scientific conferences, he added. He pointed to significant strides in the development of all scientific fields, including the field of orthopedic surgery, where the Department of Orthopedic is leading poineer in the field of bone lengthening using "Fitbone technology which is unique and limited to King Abdulaziz University in the Middle East as well as modern techniques such as innovative technology called "Al Sayyad Tay llizarov invented by Dr. Mohammad Jalal AlSayyad, professor of orthopeadics and spinal cord surgery, Department of Orthopedics KAU.
