The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has approved the decisions adopted recently by the Higher Education Council. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, Minister of Higher Education Dr Khalid Al-Anqari said that the decisions included revision of some systems of the teachers colleges and girls colleges at the universities in a manner that serves male and female students and meets the requirements of the labor market for various specializations including health, engineering and computer sciences, as well as educational sciences and languages and translation. Moreover, the revision of the systems will meet the leadership's stand to spread the institutions of higher education in various parts of the Kingdom. The decisions also included turning Al-Yamamah colleges into a university under the name of Al-Yamamah private university in Riyadh as well as the establishment of three new colleges. --MORE
