Due to its worrying growing recently, Yemen has begun coordinating extensively with some countries to put an end to the piracy acts carried out by Somali gangs in the region of African Horn and Aden Gulf, Saba reported. Governmental sources told the weekly 26 September that the Yemeni move includes regional and international security coordination and exchange information between the concerned bodies to guarantee the safety of the international navigation and ships and boats protection from acts of piracy in addition apprehending the criminals and bringing them to courts. The Anti-piracy Office of the International Navigation announced last week that Somali pirates have seized a German cargo ship off the Somali coasts, a day after two Japanese and Iranian ships have been attacked by armed Somali. The Malaysian International Navigation Transportation Company has established a team to combat pirating attacks after one of its ships was subjected to pirating last Tuesday in the international waters of the Aden Gulf. The ship was on its way to the Polish Rotterdam harbor from Domai city of Indonesia. The UN Security Council passed mid of 2008 the entry of warships to the Somali territorial waters to combat piracy.
