Prime minister Ali Muhammad Mujawr is back after a three-day official visit to Jordan during which he presided the Yemeni side in the 13th round of the Yemeni-Jordanian Committee held on 20-21 August in Amman, Saba reported. During the visit, Mujawar also handed over Jordan's king Abdullah II a letter from president Ali Abdullah Saleh regarding means to boost bilateral relations between the brotherly countries as well as the latest developments in the region. Mujawr hailed the results produced by the round that he said will help promote cooperation between Yemen and Jordan in areas such as politics, economy, trade and industry, higher education and scientific research, public health, documentation and vocational training. The meetings stressed the necessity of establishing mechanism to review and implement what have been agreed upon by the two sides. He said the two sides emphasized the importance of speeding up establishing a joint free trade zone which will help boost trade exchange between the countries. The round also reviewed the latest developments in the region topped by the situations in Palestine, Sudan and Iraq and the two countries efforts to bring peace to the area. The delegation which accompanied Mujawar included Foreign minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi, Public Health and Population minister Abdul Karim Rasi, Finance minister Noman al-Suhaibi, Transportation minister Khalid al-Wazeer, Industry and Trade minister Yahyal al-Mutawakil and another officials from the custom and taxes authorities.
