The Shiite Islamic Council in Lebanon held here today an honoring ceremony for Arab and Muslim countries and International Emergency Forces (UNIFIL) which contributed to the reconstruction of the harmed areas in Lebanon by the brutal Israeli aggression in July 2006, in the town of Mays al-Jabal in southern Lebanon. The Vice Chairman of the Islamic Shiite Council Sheikh Abdulaamir Qabalan honored Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he gave the Saudi Charge d'affair in Lebanon Fayez Wafa a memorial shield and he thanked the Kingdom for its support for the Lebanese people in the reconstruction of the harmed areas. For his part, the Saudi Charge d'Affaires in Lebanon emphasized that the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and the wise government, always supports all the brotherly Arab countries. He pointed out to the assistance provided by the Kingdom for the brotherly Lebanese people especially during the Israeli aggression against Lebanon in July 2006 amounted to $ 50 million dollars by the Saudi Popular Campaign.
