Caretaker Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro met yesterday the President of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahayan. An official statement said that both leaders exchanged views on bilateral issues and reiterated their resolve to further cementing the long-lasting brotherly relations between the two countries. The Prime Minister said that Pakistan and UAE are two brotherly countries whose friendship is time-tested. He said that both the countries have always stood by each other in times of need as these relations are based on shared history, faith, culture, common heritage and interests. While appreciating the investments made by several UAE companies in Pakistan, Soomro said that the UAE is a major investor in Pakistan in all sectors of national economy. On his part, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, who is on a private visit to Pakistan said that he had always attached high value to UAE's relationship with Pakistan, which he regarded as his second home. He said that his government has a deep-rooted and special relationship with Pakistan and always wished for the prosperity of Pakistan and its people.
