King orders winter assistance to the needy

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has directed that an urgent lump sum assistance of 654,000,000 Saudi riyals be provided to social security's beneficiaries to buy winter clothes to help them overcome the severe cold wave in the country.
The news was conveyed to Saudi Press Agency by Minister of Social Affairs Abdulmohsin Ala'kkas who said, "These sums of money will deposited in the accounts of the beneficiaries directly and their dispensing will begin on Saturday 10/1/1429 H.
The minister valued this noble royal gesture which asserts the king's care for the affairs of the citizens in general and those of limited income in particular.
