Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received here today Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Governor of Makkah region and the Chairman of Arab Thought Foundation, who is currently visiting Bahrain to participate in the Sixth General Conference of the Arab Thought Foundation, currently in progress under the auspices of Bahrain's King titled "Arab strategy for the era of globalization". King Hamad welcomed Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and expressed his appreciation for the important role played by him for enriching the movement of thought and contemporary Arab culture and for embracing the inventions and contributions of Arab intellectuals. He expressed pride in holding this conference in Bahrain and the participation of this elite of Arab educators and thinkers, highlighting the historical role of civilization for the Arab nation and its active participation in human civilization The King stressed the importance of ongoing private Arab initiatives at the Arab arena to stimulate thought, encourage creativity and activate the constructive dialogue between Arab thinkers, intellectuals and inventors. On his part, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal thanked the King for patronizing the conference which embodies his keenness on supporting culture and creativity in the Arab world. --SPA
