Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Iyad Madani and Mikhail Svidkoy, the head of the Russian Federal Agency for Culture and Cinema, jointly opened here yesterday "The Activities of Saudi Cultural days in Federal Russia." Speaking on the occasion, Madani said that having the Saudi cultural days in the Federal Russia is a proof of the deep and historic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Federal Russia. "Moreover, these cultural days are the result of an agreement signed in Riyadh when President Vladimir Putin visited the Kingdom recently. Russia is a major power. It is a model of co-existence among ethnicities and religions. I believe no one will be a well-read person unless he reads literary works of Russian writers. On the other hand, Saudi Arabia is the land of the Islamic holy Places and the cradle of Arabs and the Arabic language as well as it symbolizes civilization and cultural diversity."
