ANTI-DRUG SQUADS, AFFILIATED TO THE GENERAL DEPARTMENT OF COMBATING DRUGS, HAVE FOILED THE TRAFFICKING AND PEDDLING OF A BIG QUANTITY OF ILLEGAL DRUGS, OFFICIALS SAID TODAY. IN A STATEMENT TO THE PRESS, BRIG. GENERAL OTHMAN BIN NASSER AL-MUHRAJ, DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE ANTI-DRUG AUTHORITY, SAID A NON-SAUDI WAS APPREHENDED AT THE RIYADH-BASED GOATS MARKET HIDING 582813 ILLEGAL DRUGS. AN ADDITIONAL 60 KILOGRAMS OF HASHISH WAS CONFISCATED FROM TWO PERSONS TAKING REFUGE AT A REST HOUSE AT THE OUTSKIRTS OF THE CITY OF RIYADH, BRIG. GEN. AL-MUHRAJ SAID ADDING THAT THE TWO OPERATIONS WERE ADDED TO THE RECENT SUCCESSES OF SAUDI SECURITY MEN IN ALL FIELDS. HE LAUDED THE ROLE OF CITIZENS AND EXPATRIATES ALIKE IN SUPPORT OF SECURITY MEN SERVING THE NATION AND NATIONALS.
