Saudi Aramco's chief petroleum engineer, Khaled A. Al-Buraik, spoke at the SPE International Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition in China (IOGCEC) in Beijing. The theme of the conference was "Sustainable Growth for Oil and Gas." More than 2,000 professionals from China, the rest of Asia and around the world, together with senior management from national and international oil-producing companies, participated, according to a report carried yesterday by Saudi Aramco's web-site. The conference featured more than 100 papers in business and technical sessions, plus panel discussions with industry and technical leaders sharing their views on key trends and technical issues. Al-Buraik discussed global economic growth and forecasts for the supply of oil that fuels that economy. He shared Saudi Aramco's proactive response for the required increase in global oil demand, in terms of production capacity, rig levels and exploration. He showed how Saudi Aramco is strategically enabled to meet its future production growth commitments, using its successful strategic strengths in resources, technologies and skilled manpower. --MORE
