The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia affirmed that problems and dangers that face the world today are not restricted only to a number of States but their resulted effects are comprehensive. "In fact, this calls for establishing the principle of international cooperation and deepening the concept of mutual interests and joint responsibility in an atmosphere of respect and trust to achieve the hope of humanity for a better future which depends on the complexity of interests and narrowing the gap between the north and south countries in order to see a world of prosperity." The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed the importance of the role played by the United Nations in dealing with the developments and challenges of the twenty-first century. This stand of the Kingdom was highlighted in a speech delivered yesterday by Advisor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mansour bin Saleh Shalhoub at the General Assembly of the United Nations on item 47 pertaining to implementing and following-up of the outcomes of the main conferences and the summit conference held by the United Nations in economic and social fields and other related fields. --More
