Nabhani has met President General Pervez Musharraf, according to an official statement. There is tremendous scope for defense and strategic cooperation between the Armed Forces of Pakistan and Oman, Musharraf told the Omani general, who is currently on a week-long official visit to Pakistan with a high-level defense delegation. President Musharraf expressed the hope that Lt.General Al-Nabhani visit would contribute to further strengthening the excellent relations between the Armed Forces of the two countries. The President recalled the long-standing excellent religious, geographical and historical ties between Pakistan and Oman and the Armed Forces of the two countries. He wished General Al-Nabhani a pleasant and professionally rewarding stay in Pakistan. Meanwhile, Lt. General Al-Nabhani interacted with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Ehsanul Haq and other senior military officials. He has received a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing geo-strategic environment in the region at the Joint Staff Headquarters. Al-Nabhani stated that his interaction with the Pakistani civil and military leadership has been very fruitful. He thanked the Pakistan Army for the hospitality being extended to him and members of the delegation.
