Nepal lifts day curfew in capital

Nepal's royal government on
Wednesday lifted a day curfew in Kathmandu that was imposed
over the weekend to deter anti-monarchy protesters who had
clashed with security forces, a government announcement
said.
The announcement broadcast over the state-run Nepal
Television said the curfew imposed on Saturday has been
lifted until further notice.
