The Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Conference secretariat general has condemned in the strongest words the terrorist attacks which took place in the Jordanian capital of Amman yesterday evening, killing several innocents. In a statement issued in Jeddah today, the OIC said it also supports all the measures taken by the Jordanian authorities to secure the safety of its people, noting that terrorist attacks totally contradict with the values and concepts of religion. In this regard, the statement cited a press release issued last September in Makkah by the Islamic Olema and scholars preparatory meeting for the extraordinary Islamic summit, saying that killing the innocents is a terrorist act that deserves the most toughest punishment. The OIC secretariat general offered its condolences to the families of the victims of that terrorist act.
