Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Governor of Assir region, visited here on Thursday his formative arts exhibition, due to be inaugurated today under the patronage of the Portuguese President. Speaking to the media following his inspection tour, Prince Khalid hoped that the exhibition would provide a good opportunity to the Portuguese people to get acquainted with the beauty of nature in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He pointed out that the Islamic culture, which advocates love and coexistence, aims at the service of the mankind. 'The message I convey is the message of love and fraternity', he said, He highlighted the role that could be played by culture and arts in deepening relations among the nations. 'Political and economic relations are not enough for building permanent relations among the nations', he said . Citing the expected positive impact of the exhibition in cementing Saudi-Portuguese relations, Prince Khalid said a Portuguese arts show will be organized in Riyadh. Meanwhile Prince Khalid said he had invited some of the Portuguese artists, through the Ministry of Culture, to visit Assir region.
