Prince Turki Alfaisal, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Kingdom and Ireland, who is also Chairman of King Faisal Center for Islamic Research and Studies (KFCIRS), has concluded a visit to Italy during which he made a tour of a number of Italian research centers and libraries, leading a delegation of KFCIRS. The visit, wrapped up yesterday, was arranged by Institute of Relations between Italy and Africa and the Middle East and Near East, headed by Italy's ex-Foreign Minister Michael Dempkhlis who held a reception party in honor of Prince Turki and his accompanying delegation. During the party, which was also attended by a number of Italian officials, Prince Turki underscored that the visit aims at tightening the spirit of cooperation and scientific research between the Islamic world and the west in general and between KFCIRS and different research institutions in Italy in particular.
