Arsonists attacked three banks early Friday following violence at an anti-racism rally in central Athens, police said. More than 100 youths were detained after police used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators. No injuries were reported, according to AP. The bank branches were damaged in separate gasoline bomb attacks, while 14 cars were smashed at a downtown Mercedes dealership. Several storefronts and parked cars were also damaged. The anti-racism rally, attended by an estimated 2,500 people late Thursday, was organized to protest plans for a September meeting of European far-right political groups in Greece. About 200 people broke off from the march and clashed with police.
