The Saudi banks, in cooperation with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), will host a two-day 7th GCC Banking Conference from May 17 at the Institute of Banking in Riyadh. Eid Alanazi, the 7th GCC Banking Conference Manager, told Arab News that "The conference aims at bringing the GCC central banks and the commercial banks of the region together to exchange ideas on the major common challenges facing the financial industry today". The event, under the patronage of the General Secretariat of The Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), will be attended by the governors of the GCC central banks and monetary agencies, heads of GCC capital markets, and senior bankers from the region and international financial institutions. --MORE 1439 Local Time 1139 GMT
