German stocks ended electronic trading Thursday barely changed, with the main index, the DAX, down a tiny 0.08 per cent to 4402.05 and the MDAX off 0.11 per cent to 5844.22. The more volatile TecDAX eased 0.66 per cent to 526.72 in Frankfurt trading. "It really was very quiet today," said a woman broking for an international bank. Car manufacturing stocks stood out, recovering some of the ground they have lost in recent days. BMW rose 0.58 per cent to 34.75 euros and Volkswagen pushed 0.37 per cent higher to 35.32 euros, but DaimlerChrysler recovered only 0.12 per cent to close at 32.06 euros. --SP 0038 Local Time 2138 GMT
