The Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, is embarking on an official visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria leading a delegation from the Shura Council. The visit comes in response to an official invitation extended by his Algerian counterpart, the Speaker of the Algerian National Assembly, Salah Goudjil. During his visit, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh will hold two official talks with the Speaker of the Algerian National Assembly, Saleh Goudjil, and the Speaker of the Algerian National People's Assembly, Ibrahim Boughali. The discussions will focus on strengthening the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, particularly concerning inter-parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council, the National Assembly, and the Algerian National People's Assembly. The Speaker of the Shura Council and his delegation will also meet with several high-ranking officials in the Republic of Algeria. In a press statement, the Speaker of the Shura Council confirmed that this official visit to the Republic of Algeria comes in implementation of the keenness and interest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support the march of joint Arab action in all fields, to consolidate the bonds of cooperation between the Kingdom and Algeria, and to promote bilateral relations to broader horizons between the two countries. Dr. Al Al-Sheikh further stressed the depth of the historical relations between Saudi Arabia and Algeria, which were reflected in honorable official stances between the two countries. He also affirmed that the establishment of the Saudi-Algerian Supreme Coordination Council comes as an extension of the efforts exerted to improve relations between the two brotherly countries. The official delegation accompanying the Speaker of the Shura Council includes several members of the Council and other senior officials of the Shura Council.
