Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi met today in Riyadh with the Turkish Ambassador to the Kingdom, Fatih Ulusoy. During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of strengthening the strategic dialogue between the GCC and Türkiye and developing bilateral cooperation in all fields, within the framework of implementing the economic and technical cooperation agreement signed between the GCC and Türkiye in 2005, the memorandum of understanding on the joint strategic dialogue signed in 2008, and based on the outcomes of the joint Gulf-Turkish ministerial meetings held within the strategic dialogue between the two sides. Moreover, the two sides discussed regional and international issues of common concern, as well as the work of the committees and technical teams that were formed under the framework of the action plan between the GCC and Türkiye in preparation for the 6th joint ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue slated to be held before the end of 2023. The meeting was attended by GCC Assistant Secretary for Political Affairs and Negotiations Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaishek.
