The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, met today at the headquarters of the GCC in Riyadh with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra. The two sides reviewed aspects of GCC-Dutch relations and the importance of strengthening them bilaterally and through the strategic partnership between the GCC and the European Union (EU) to serve common interests. In addition, several issues were discussed regarding developments in the regional and international arenas. The Assistant Secretary for Political Affairs and Negotiations at the GCC General Secretariat, Dr Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Uwaishek also attended the meeting.
