The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, met today with Saud bin Nasser Al Khusaibi, Chairman of the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO). During the meeting, the GCC Secretary General emphasized the crucial role of the GSO in establishing standardization and quality infrastructure in GCC countries, as well as developing the organization's work to achieve its goals and aspirations, following the decisions made by the leaders of the GCC countries. The two sides also discussed ways to enhance joint Gulf action in the fields of standards, metrology, and quality, as well as the GSO's role in protecting consumers and defining necessary technical specifications to ensure safety and security for consumers in the GCC countries.
