The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) and the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) have signed an agreement to register telecom companies in the BugBounty platform to support small and medium enterprises through providing customized free packages, while encouraging large companies to join the platform. BugBounty is a national platform that connects enterprises and companies with cybersecurity researchers to identify and tackle vulnerabilities in tech products and websites of enterprises and reduce possible threats. During the signing ceremony, CST was represented by Eng. Fahad Alduraibi, Director of Cybersecurity Operations Center, while Mr. Khalid Alsulaim, Business Development Manager, represented SAFCSP. It also included a panel discussion on the importance of protecting technical products by detecting and closing bugs, as well as an introduction to the platform and its benefits. The initiative aims to promote collaboration among governmental entities nationally, support organizational supervision, protect the websites and digital programs of service providers in the telecom sector, in addition, to support cybersecurity researchers and develop their expertise by offering multiple opportunities with rewards. This is a result of the commission's integrated national efforts to raise the Kingdom's cybersecurity maturity, ensure the users' safety from harmful content, and promote the cybersecurity practices of the sector's service providers.
