The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) called on the Taliban to reverse its decision to ban the employment of women in local and foreign organizations in Afghanistan. "The basic rights of Afghan women have suffered another severe blow, after a decision issued on December 24, 2022, by the de facto Ministry of Economy in Kabul suspending the employment of female staff in all national and international non-government organizations (NGOs) to suspend until further notice," the organization said in a statement today, calling on the Taliban to withdraw this decision.
