Dr. Nayef Falah Al Hajraf, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), affirmed the solidarity and stand of the GCC countries with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in confronting all that threatens its security and stability. The GCC Secretary General underlined today, Monday, December 19, 2022, the firm position of the GCC member states in condemning all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism, whatever its motives and causes, stressing the support of the GCC countries towards the security measures and steps taken by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to guard its security and to ensure the safety of all citizens and residents. Moreover, he praised the vigilance of the Jordanian security forces and their ability to deal with the wanted figures, calling for the need to strengthen international cooperation in the face of terrorism and dry up its financial, intellectual and organisational sources. Furthermore, the GCC Secretary General expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; HM the King, the government and the people, for the martyrdom of three policemen during a security raid, praying to Allah the Almighty to have mercy on the martyrs. His Excellency also wished all the injured a speedy recovery.
