HRH Crown Prince and President of China Hold Session of Official Talks and Witness Exchanging of a Number of Bilateral Agreements and MoUs between the Two Countries

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received today, at the Royal Court at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, His Excellency President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China.
An official reception ceremony was held for the President.
HRH the Crown Prince and His Excellency the Chinese President held a meeting. At the outset of the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince welcomed the President in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wishing him and his delegation a pleasant stay, while the Chinese President expressed his thanks and appreciation for the hospitality and good reception he and the accompanying delegation received.
HRH the Crown Prince and the President of the People's Republic of China held a session of official talks, during which they reviewed aspects of partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People's Republic of China, and joint coordination efforts to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields in line with their vision, and discussed opportunities to invest available resources in both countries in order to achieve common interests, in addition to discussing regional and international developments and issues of common interest and the efforts exerted in this regard.
The session was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy; Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet; Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard; Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense; Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, Cabinet's Member and National Security Advisor; Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Investment; and Yasser bin Othman Al-Rumayyan, Governor of the Public Investment Fund, who is also the accompanying minister.
On the Chinese side, it was attended by a number of senior officials.
After that, HRH the Crown Prince and the President of the People's Republic of China witnessed the exchange of a number of bilateral agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries, as follows:
First: Harmonization plan between the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative.
Second: A memorandum of understanding in the field of hydrogen energy.
It was exchanged from the Saudi side by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, and from the Chinese side by Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) He Lifeng.
Third: An agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People's Republic of China for cooperation and judicial assistance in civil, commercial and personal status matters.
It was exchanged from the Saudi side by Minister of Justice Dr. Waleed bin Mohammed Al-Samaani, and from the Chinese side by State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi.
Fourth: A memorandum of cooperation to teach the Chinese language.
It was exchanged from the Saudi side by Minister of Education Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, and from the Chinese side by State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi.
Fifth: A memorandum of Understanding in the field of encouraging direct investment.
It was exchanged from the Saudi side by Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, and from the Chinese side by Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao.
Sixth: An action plan to activate the provisions of the memorandum of cooperation in the field of housing.
It was exchanged from the Saudi side by Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and from the Chinese side by Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao.
Later, a ceremony was held to award His Excellency the Chinese President an honorary doctorate in administration from King Saud University, where President of King Saud University Dr. Badran Al-Omar delivered a speech on this occasion, during which he announced the decision of the University's Council to award the certificate in recognition of the achievements of His Excellency and his great efforts in management and leadership, and in gratitude for the thriving relationship and continuous cooperation between the two friendly countries.
After that, Minister of Education Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan and the President of King Saud University presented the honorary doctorate to His Excellency the Chinese President.
