The activities of the 2nd edition of the Global Cybersecurity Forum, which was held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, with the theme "RETHINKING THE GLOBAL CYBER ORDER." Organized by the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), the two-day Global Cybersecurity Forum was concluded here Thursday evening, with the participation of 127 high-profile international speakers. and the attendance of 9,000 participants from more than 117 countries. A number of decision-makers, CEOs, senior government officials, representatives of the most prominent international companies, non-governmental organizations, and academia from around the world participated in the forum's activities. The forum witnessed the holding of more than 40 dialogue sessions that dealt with the most important strategic issues in the field of cybersecurity through a set of topics that discussed the prospects for change in the cyber landscape, cyber economies, geo-cyber development, the future of cyber work, and cybersecurity for all. For their part, the international experts and decision-makers praised the depth of the discussions that crossed the technical dimension in the field of cybersecurity, as they addressed geopolitical, economic, social and humanitarian affairs in the cyberspace. The dialogue sessions also touched on the importance of international cooperation, discussing practical solutions to bridge the cyber gap globally, exploring the future of cyber security, and ensuring the achievement of cybersecurity for all societies. In its second edition, the Global Cybersecurity Forum witnessed the signing of a number of memoranda of understanding, most notably between NCA and its international counterparts with the aim of cooperation in the areas of cybersecurity and enhancing the protection of children around the world from cyber threats. It also witnessed the signing of a set of agreements between a number of national and regional authorities to promote cooperation in cybersecurity. The Forum represents a global interactive platform for all the concerned and specialists in the field of cybersecurity from representatives of government and private sectors, non-profit organizations, and educational and academic circles around the world, with the aim of transferring knowledge on cybersecurity issues and building the foundations for cooperation among countries and organizations to make the cybersecurity sector an enabler in the face of future challenges, the achievement of economic and social development in the Kingdom and around the world.
