The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) was elected as a permanent member of the Executive Board of the International Social Security Association (ISSA), as one of eight countries among all the 322 organizations and member countries. This came within the work of the World Social Security Forum, which concluded yesterday in Marrakesh, Morocco, with the participation of many leaders, decision-makers and experts in the field of protection and social insurance around the world. The Governor of GOSI, Mohammed bin Talal Al-Nahhas, expressed his pride in the election of GOSI as a permanent member of ISSA, noting that the election of the GOSI indicates its active role and the prominent importance contributes to the programs and goals of the ISSA. Al-Nahhas added that the election of the GOSI as a permanent member of the association will enhance its representation in the association, and will also contribute to supporting the institution's future vision and goals, which aim to achieve sustainable social insurance that efficiently meets current and future obligations while providing innovative insurance products and services to customers.
