The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the General Court of Audit (GCA) will be hosting the 14th General Assembly, the 64th, and 65th Governing Board Meetings of the Arab Organization for Supreme Audit Institution (ARABOSAI). The meetings will be starting of tomorrow, Sunday, October 23, 2022 in Jeddah Governance and will continue for one week. The meetings will be witnessing the participation of Their Excellencies Head of member SAIs, a number of honorable guests, and observers from peer regional and international organizations. The 64th Governing Board Meeting of ARABOSAI will discuss tomorrow reports of the Capacity Building Committee, the Professional Standards Committee, the Audit of Sustainable Goals Committee, and the Strategic Planning Committee. Moreover, the members of ARABOSAI in the General Assembly will discuss the report of the Governing Board on the activities of the organization and measures taken by the Board to ensure the implementation of the work program adopted the previous Assembly. Additionally, members will discuss the Report of the chair of the Governing Board on the financial Situation of the Organization, the report of the Strategic Planning Committee on its achievements for the period (2018 – 2022) and the (2023 – 2028) period, the work plan of the organization, and the financial program. It is intended in the meeting to announce the SAI chairing the organization and the Vice-chair next host of the General Assembly Furthermore, the meeting will be witnessing the announcement of the next chair of the organization, the first Vice-chair, the location of the 15th General Assembly, the appointment of the Second Vice-chair, reorganization of the Governing Board, and the election of the chairs of main committees and members. The General Assembly will be coincided with a Seminar Titled:" Transition to Accrual Basis Accounting: "International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSASs)" and its Effects on Public Sector Auditing. The seminar will witness the participation of speakers from ARABOSAI and international observers to discuss the following topics.
