Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Turki bin Abdul Mohsen Al Al-Sheikh, launched the activities of Riyadh season 2022 at "Riyadh Vibes" zone, with an international carnival that witnessed the first show in the Middle East of more than 3,200 drones, an international concert and multiple colors of fireworks, lighting up the sky of the capital, Riyadh, at the opening of the entertainment event, which led the global trend on the social networking platform "Twitter". In his speech, Turki Al Al-Sheikh said: "I extend my sincere thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH Crown Prince, the godfather of the vision and our inspiring leader for the attention, planning and support they accord to the entertainment sector in general and Riyadh season in particular, and at the end of my speech, I announce the opening of Riyadh season in its 3rd edition entitled "Above Imagination". Welcome to Riyadh Season." Then, the ceremony of Riyadh Season was kicked off in which Al Al-Sheikh received the Saudi Games 2022 torch with a sing from the Saudi folklore, in addition to a number of roaming shows and the Cirque du Soleil international show, amid an atmosphere filled with fun and enthusiasm for the activities of the season, which witnessed a massive audience to become the biggest entertainment event of its kind in the Kingdom. Riyadh Season 2022 ceremony included an artistic show for the 15 zones of the season, as well as shows that pave the way for the opening of the entertainment zones, all of which represent the activities of this year's season. The ceremony featured a number of Kinetic Games, a group of gymnastics, shows of high wire act, motorcycles, fire-jetting, swinging ropes, in addition to jumping through the rings, and a show of Global Orchestra. The activities of this year's Riyadh season 2022 include new spaces and zones, overwhelming visitors with its modern activities and experiences, as they combine with their various options a mixture of exclusivity and modernity, amid an abundance of entertainment that made Riyadh a favorite destination, and a stimulating place for the residents of the Kingdom and its visitors from all over the world. It is worth mentioning that the season zones include a variety of activities and events, such as concerts, local and international exhibitions, theatrical performances, WWE Championships, and football tournaments, in addition to a set of interactive experiences from various global cultures, a number of restaurants and cafes, as well as adventures of submarine ride, and cable car ride, living in the ice, in addition to recreational activities compatible with all age groups for visitors to Riyadh Season 2022.
