The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made progress in education and knowledge indicators in the World Digital Competitiveness Ranking 2022 report issued by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), as it jumped 13 places globally in the Knowledge Index from the previous year, which reflects the wise leadership's interest in the educational process and providing all support for education. The Kingdom advanced in the sub-indicators related to knowledge, achieving 10 ranks in the education and training index, 5 ranks in the organizational framework index, 4 ranks in the abundance of talent index, and 6 ranks in the scientific focus index as well. The Kingdom's general performance improved in the World Digital Competitiveness Ranking 2022 report, by advancing one rank in the general classification, while the ranking improved in education-related indicators, as it advanced 10 ranks in the digital and technical skills index, 9 ranks in the higher education attainment index, and 6 ranks in the index of granting high-tech patents. The Kingdom jumped three places in the indicators of net international students' flow, total public spending on education, women with degrees, and the use of robots in education, research and development, in addition to the rate of one student per teacher in higher education, and science graduates.
