Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Interests Greatly in Developing Educational System
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 20 - 06 - 2022

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arena.
Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has greatly interested in developing the educational system since its inception until this prosperous era being led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and HRH Crown Prince.
Saudi Arabia topped the Arab countries, ranking 30th globally in the British "Nature" index for evaluating countries, universities, and public and private institutions for the year 2022 in the quality of scientific research, the paper said.
The Kingdom's ranking emanates from the collected data approved by the magazine based on scientific publication in the best 82 international scientific journals, where the number of Saudi publications in these journals reached 448. "Nature index list included 26 Saudi universities this year, compared to 16 in 2018, the paper added.
In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the national transport and logistics strategy that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched aims to consolidate its position as a global logistics hub connecting the three continents and upgrade all services and means of transportation to support its comprehensive development process.
The ambitious strategy for the logistics sector aims to advance the Kingdom's role globally in air transit traffic and increase destinations for more than 250 international destinations, in addition to launching a new national carrier to help other sectors such as Hajj, Umrah and tourism to achieve their national goals, as well as maritime transport, by developing the port infrastructure, enhancing its integration with logistic areas, and expanding its connection with international navigation lines, the paper said.
In this regard, The Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) has signed an agreement with major international and national specialized companies to establish an integrated smart zone at Jeddah Islamic Port for supporting the growth of the logistics industry on the Red Sea coast and launching successive logistic zones to maximize transport economies and supply chains and enhance strategic partnerships with the private sector, while the Kingdom's ports continue their qualitative leaps in international performance indicators, the paper added.
